That said. Have some fun with it. Get a ton of Trump signs, and American flags and then a bunch of Mexican flags, sombreros maybe a Donald Trump pinata (sp?) Serve beer (Budweiser and Modelo) and just see where it goes.

You see, I get this and for the past 2 years I went along because it had a "Kid" theme...I even went along with this one albeit in fun but at the first sign of "I dont like that" all hell broke lose.

I'm going to go against my prior advice to a degree. let her do what ever she wants to do about this party, but after this, my advice...you should start "putting your foot down". Relationships are a power struggle and make sure you have the power.

I'm just finishing up a divorce and if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have been so nice and I should have put her in her "place". I was married to an Hispanic and they can be very unreasonable. I thought women wanted to be equals, but I've learned that a lot of woman, want to be led by a strong leader and they want to be told where they stand. That's old school, but I find that women still want that. I was too passive and in the end, I learned that she was running the show when I thought I was.

Well lets slow down a little, dont want to get a divorce over the birthday planning and this is really the only "issue" we have on an annual basis.

If I were to go running off every time I had a conflict I would be single and 80 years old in no time...no one wants to die alone much less have their kids pick whom they want to live with, all problems have a solution

Bad thing is if you budge on this...kiss your huevos good bye! Or make a compromise that yall take turns each year picking the theme and flip a coin on who will be picking this year or just have two parties.
