Ditto. I think if cops get convicted of doing shit like this then they should immediately face a firing squad. That would end that bullshit quickly.
And FTP. Tax collectors with badges and guns. That's it.

This deal is effed up and they need to be held accountable .
Doctors and nurses accidentally kill way more than cops do every year. When was the last time you heard of a Dr in trouble or on trial? They cover their eff ups big time as well. Just google for the numbers it will amaze you

If you could provide this evidence, that'd be great. After all, you're the one that made the claim.

Also: there's a difference between being unable to save someone and intentionally dropping them face first on the deck.

People go to doctors to actively seek help. Doctors don't ride around in ambulances and jump out to help people against their will and then accidently kill them. The comparison is absurdity at best.

Not to mention that they also carry insurance and (*gasp*) other doctors will actually criticize them based on an intellectually honest analysis of the facts. They don't need a god damn video of another doctor murdering someone before they'll grudgingly admit that maybe that doctor did something wrong.

Like all those doctors that came forward when old Dr Duntsh in Plano was high and botched those surgeries ? How many years did it take before those doctors came forward ?

What kind of point do you think you're making here. When you sign up for surgery, death is a risk you take. No one should feel like they are at risk for a traffic stop.

Oh I know, I nearly was one of those statistics. Basically went to the ER, explained my condition and what I was given last time. To my shock, they came out with the meds and gave em to me. Later my specialist told me that it could have killed me if I had an infection.

I'm really wondering if this stuff is anomalous, or if this is just cops being cops and the problem is that they are being filmed/caught/prosecuted with volume.

I think it's a few bad apples thinking they can man handle someone and the "offender" can't do anything back. I know if someone came up to my car or at me while at Walmart etc they'd be staring at a barrel (if I was in my car) or my fists in defense. But if a cop starts trying to man handle me for no reason I'd feel limited in what I could/should do.

You get a guy in the wrong mind set thinking he can do whatever because someone else can't do anything they start feeling like they can do whatever. Those with that sense of power probably and potential to act on it probably only comes with being a LEO.

I had a State Trooper/Park Ranger of 25 years tell me that he didn't need to know the law because they had lawyers who figured that stuff out and his responsibility was to follow orders.
There are more and more "bad apples" out there. All you need to do is search reddit and there is a new video or news story daily of some out of control/power tripping cop out there. The biggest problem is most states have laws that make it almost impossible to prosecute law enforcement and very few DA's who are willing to file charges.

If you read the story the kids own father, who is also a cop, had a hard time bringing himself to believe that the cop that almost killed his kid did anything wrong. He kept trying to rationalize that his son must have done something to provoke the cop. It wasn't until he finally saw the full video in court that he finally saw what a piece of shit the cop is.

I also find it disturbing how the police department tried to spin it in the media that it was all the kids fault and kept pushing the lie that he had a warrant and that was the justification for the stop even after they had seen the video.

In my limited estimation, this behavior has been going on a LONG time ( there is plenty of source evidence of that ), but with the issue being the good men and women of the police force that do nothing when their fellow officers go WAY over the top because of basic psychology like "brotherhood". A camera is a disparate entity added into the fray and cant be coerced. Finally a tattle-tell that citizens can trust.

Grand jury indictments of officers are rare.
