Hot Tubs?

Getting one soon. I don't know which brands to stick with, or to stay away from.

I would refer one without all the stupid lounger shapes in it. A basic bench setup would be better. It will mostly just be my and my old lady, but room for another couple on occasion is a must. I'm a large dude, so I'd rather go too big than too small. I'll have 220v run, and the deck I'm having built will be reinforced to hold the tub. Roughly 7'x7' outer diameter would be perfect, but could stretch that some.

Anyway, for those who have them, which brands are best? Which ones to stay away from? Is there really a big difference, or are they all pretty much the same these days? What features do you love/hate? Anything you would do different next time?

That's going to be awesome in the winter! My dad had one on his deck in WA and the best time to get it was when there was snow on the ground.

Anyways, they really are awesome when it's ballz cold outside. My parents had one for years and only need to replace the pump or heater a few times. I'll see what brand they had.

I was looking for something else on Overstock and I saw a 8 person for $4500. with free shipping and made in the USA. It had a decent warranty too, like 2 years on parts. The free shipping would be a plus for your mountain side living.

I have a hot spring brand thats over twenty years old. Its a four person with no computer controls. The only issues in 20 years is new covers and i replaced the element once. I have also moved it three times. It has no leaks and works perfectly. I have always heard good things about hot spring tubs.

I believe it was out of warranty, but they have a no questions asked policy. So use it for 5 years, take it back and get a new one. Sounds a lot like taking advantage of the system to me...
