  • John Hennessey back to his old games

All Ahmad Ali wanted was a Chevrolet Corvette souped up to have enough horsepower to defibrillate God. To realize this dream, the Qatari went to one of the most famous names in the car tuning business: John Hennessey. But three years later, he is still fighting Hennessey Performance Engineering for more than $70,000…

All Ahmad Ali wants his $70,000 refund for a '13 vette he never got. And numerous ex-HPE employees told Jalopnik that Ali wasn’t alone—that the man and his famed tuning company are engaging in a litany of deceptive business practices.

shocking! Too bad ls1.com lost all of the story way back in 2000

Thought he changed, but apparently not. Once a crook and con man, always a crook and con man, I guess. What a POS.

The only people who are shocked about this are the fools that line up to do business with him.
Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

        i saw that too.

not that i am in the know, but i never hear of one of his cars at any event making waves. be it a half or mile event or anything for that matter. does that venom car even turn well enough to go to a track day?

i do not understand how his late nineties viper lore and occasional top speed car keep him in business.

There was a shop in Farmers Branch that was doing the same thing and even got the old man to slap his "famous" name on that business and the feds came in and shut them down. This clown is and has been doing the same thing that they were dong and I don't have any idea how he gets away with it for so long. I guess when you're rich you don't care, but if someone took my $75,000 and didn't deliver my goods I paid for I would be looking to get my money back and not through the court system or by strongly worded emails...

After all the negative stuff from years ago, why would anyone deal with them?

Hennesey tends to keep it under $100k though. They were usually getting double that!

I know a lot of their former techs. It was a messy deal to say the least
