Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I'll look when I get home, but the one we have works at opposite ends of our 1700sq' house and has video, audio, zoom, temp, plays music, has an alarm on it, and you can talk to the baby through it. It's been on non stop for the last 4 years and still works great (knock on wood). Knowing us since we got it for our second child it probably wasn't all that expensive either.
A buddy of mine got a cheap IP camera online somewhere and wired it into his home network, he can check it from anywhere in the world on his phone, so there's that route too.G'Day Mate

What I did was bought a couple of those Foscam IP cameras and set them up in the kids room. I set preset places, because during the later years when they can walk and move around - they tend to get out of hand. So being able to see what they are doing is great and it really gets them wondering how you know they got out of bed.
Additionally, sometimes they just don't want to be in bed. I often times watched mine get out of bed, move across the room and crash out on the floor in some stuffed animals or something. In those cases we never bothered them, just gave them the freedom.
To this day my boy prefers sleeping on the floor with a blanket to sleeping in a bed usually.
We then reverted to audio only monitors when we traveled.
We did have the other types, but they were limited due to not having pan/tilt abilities...etc. Most went bad or the batteries were shot...etc. Then when the kids got old enough that we no longer monitored them, I just repurposed the cameras for interior security purposes.
The IP cameras worked really well for us. Only caveat is if your wife leaves it a bit too "light" in there, sometimes the camera will keep switching to/from night vision mode and click a bunch. Which makes them worthless and keeps the kids up. Either darken the room or position the camera so it does not see that light as much.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.
