It makes me giggle to think these are considered beaches.

I've been to Malibu, Stinson, Miami, Myrtle, Long Island, and Boston.....hell, even the Jersey Shore. I know what a beach is.

Pretty sure the definition of a beach doesn't include that it border an ocean. Sure, I'd love to hop in the car and spend a day driving to the nearest one with a car load of kids....who doesn't enjoy that.

Other than actual ocean beaches, what inland area with sand do you consider?

I think the Eisenhower swim area is still closed. I camped up there last month, the flooding last year really jacked it up.

There is a really nice beach in little elm. Been there a couple time before we moved, they keep it pretty clean, although I would expect it to be a bit crowded.

It's been 20 years since I went to Twin Points park at Eagle Mountain lake and it seemed pretty decent at least back then.

This is probably where we'll end up. It's been longer since I was last there. We live in Alliance, so this makes the most sense.

So, then we'd agree on a beach by an ocean. It's about a 18 hour drive to east coast Florida. Pack those little fuckers up for some family time!

But, the definition doesn't say it needs to be by an ocean, I just always assume that since that's what I grew up by.
