    Long weekend, plus school letting out, people heading out for summer vacations, etc. We're light on employees because we have 2 going through chemo/radiation, and we were short staffed before all that even started.

              I made it work out... all the floors were evenly unhappy. Its because we are so generous with staff that we need that many. Its a great place to work.

                  I had a conversation with my wife about how when I was a kid, my mom and her sisters would always go to the Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony at Laurel Land Cemetery.

                  Their Brother, my Uncle, was among the earliest causalities from the DFW area killed in Vietnam, Oct. of '67.

                        I have 3 that planned to be out today which i'm cool with. The one that texted me (didn't have the balls to call or answer when I called back) that he was sick pissed me off. That was followed up by the resident slacker that showed up 30 min late and asked to leave early.

                        I hate today.


                        We will visit both of my grandfathers on monday.

                          Im pretty dead today. I could have taken off, but I didnt feel like burning a vacation day to sit at home while it rains. If we call in the day before a holiday, we dont get paid for the holiday, so that helps keep the "sick calls" to a minimum.

                                We're missing 5 or so in the office. Today should be a cake day, though. Everyone is going to push their freight out early so they can leave early.
