She's a beaut!
Looks like you got what you really wanted. Not sure how motivated the seller was, but I wouldn't sell for a penny less than $25K.
This of course based on photos rather than in-person.
The thing that's throwing me is no A/C, which can be added, but no power brakes or power steering either? Not sure I've ever seen a true Mach 1 without either of those.
What'd you pay?

It's a driver quality, good looking '70 Mach 1 and I'd be proud to have it. I think anything from 18-24k would be a reasonable price, all depending on how it was built originally and the quality of restoration work done to it.
At the end of the day it looks great and you don't have to be worried about damaging a museum piece every time you drive it around.When the government pays, the government controls.
