Sorry for the big pic, but I had to pull it out of the script from a website.

I was actually surprised they didn't design the Ballpark as a covered and air conditioned stadium. I'm one of those people that has enough sense to stay away from open air bleachers on a 105* July afternoon, and I'd probably go to more games if it was comfortable.
Current gate receipts are $71 million annually... and they would expect to add $73 million more revenue every year? When the government pays, the government controls.

Anyone want to bet they`ll pass this in the next 12 months, put no provision in that its null and void if they dont hit that 2020 target, and begin construction anyways in 2020/21 saying the voters "approved it" when everyone starts bitching about another 1/2 cent sales tax increase?"If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

Is it worth being nickled and dimed by The City of Arlington and The Rangers, in addition to everyone else doing it as well is the question though? Even if all you ever do is go out to eat or shop in Arlington?

Of course both are hoping that tax revenues remain the same and the bond market stays stable. Still the question remains what happens if they pass this and miss that mark? Ask the Rangers to hold off? Expect everyone else to pay up an additional tax for a the short term?

Want to bet they don't have plans to and are playing on everyones fears to get a new stadium? Downtown Dallas isn't Baltimore's Harborfront, nor is it the arts district like Detroit. Downtown Dallas isnt even like Houston. Good luck getting most people there on game day when mass transit is minimal at best
