Does anyone have any experience with the Lexus IS250?

My only real experiance is getting head in one, so other than that....

The 250 is okay, but the 350 would be quicker for sure. A friend has the 250 and it's not bad for what it is. It's a nice car inside.

They run pretty good at highway speeds I suppose.

The 04-08 TL is more car for the money. Its fwd, but its a beast compared to the is250.

when my old lady was in the market for a new car, the IS and the TL were the two top choices. The TL makes the 250 seem like a turd. I also think the TL is just an all around nicer car. Picked up an 07 Tech Pkg.

Gotcha... Comparing apples to apples I would compare the IS350 to the TL. I'm much more of a fan of the rear wheel drive.

i prefer rwd also, but we felt that the interior and ride is not as good as the tl.

Though i will say that the fwd was nice in the shit weather last week. Driving my T/A was a nightmare in that shit.

Comparing the IS250 to a G35/37 is apples and oranges. Like stated above, the IS350 is a completely different car than the 250: 100+ more HP, bigger brakes, better suspension, etc. I have an IS350 and love it, but my only complaint is the back seat lacks room. If you don't have a big family, then the IS is great. The price difference between the 250 and 350 is only a couple thousand (used), so I highly recommend getting the 350. Drive both and you'll see why.

I absolutely love the get up and go that the 350's have. Even the GS moves pretty well.

I was looking at all the same cars and ended up with a TL. Believe me, I don't care for FWD but to me the IS350 was too small inside and I just liked the interior and the ride of the TL better than the G35/37. I figure if I need a RWD fix I've still got 3 other RWD cars and I don't go ramrodding around in the TL much. For me the FWD is only really noticeable when hammering it coming out of corners and that's not what I bought this car for.
What I'd really like for a daily is a 335i but I didn't want to pony up that much money and everyone I know that has a BMW pays out the ass once it's out of warranty.

I think the reason people are comparing the 250 to the G is because the OP wants a manual tranny. Stupid Lexus doesn't offer the 350 with the 6 speed.
