My effing dishwasher installers forget that damn thing half the time. Either that or the knock it out and leave it in the disposal and it jambs it up!

We will be putting in an InSinkErator Evolution 3/4 horse when we put our kitchen back together.

I bought whatever they had a HD, the first one i got was too small for the plumbing to fit, so I got the next model up, no issues. If you replace the ring up top, get some putty - lots of videos of the install on the tubes.
