So if a company offers 2 weeks severance, it's almost better to reject that offer and just file for unemployment? I work for a non-profit so I don't see even 1 month happening. 4 months would be nice.
No, you accept it, and notify TWC that you are or will be receiving X sum. Then it's up to TWC to see by how much, if any, they reduce your unemployment claim. I'm sure that it all depends on the dollar figure we are talking about.
