I have had a hankering for a 79-81 z28. I just don't have the space right now. Cool car.

      Let's clarify.

The two to 3 times a week I get a mid 90's ram and or silverado that's been beaten all of its life and a customer can't get the keys stuck out of the ignition, the best solution I have found to use is wd40. I have also had a customer bring in the ignition cylinder and metal bracket because the key was stuck in his 95 ram and wouldn't even turn or release the key, It was soaked in graphite and after a 30 second bath of wd40 it clicked over and would release the key

Use whatever you want, I should have just stated it that way then trying to explain my reasoning

It might release the key immediately, but these guys are right, that shit does not just evaporate away. Then that shit attracts every dust and dirt particle out there, and ends up dirtier than when you started.

There's a difference between fixing something to work today and fixing it long term.

Its still the same point, graphite spray is just a temp fix aswell.

            it's not a spray, it's a dry powder.

Damned if I just didn't check the old ass can that says graphite on it under the counter and it says chain lube right below it. Well here's your sign. That goes in the trash.

Pb blaster has it as a dry spray I've just pulled off of the shelf to use now.

This was my first thought as well, but I didn't want to be the one that said it.

I had to convince him to do this lol. He had some home made bumperettes on it before but this looks cleaner IMO.
