The girlfriend decided she wanted a Volvo xc90, we've had both in but issues with since we started buying it. Now the transmission failed due to a pre-existing condition we didn't know about. They refuse to do anything about it, she got the Volvo 9 days before she gave birth to our son. Are there any laws, like the lemon law that would come into play when legal action is taken, Or are we just fucked?

Was it sold as is no warranty? I would probably just get a reman and throw the old one through the glass door of the dealership. Fuck em -
Lemon law doesn't apply to pre-owned IIRC. Did you sign an as-is when you purchased? This is generally the form that the dealer has you sign after explaining that there is no warranty on the vehicle and that you are buying under the assumption that the vehicle has probably been through their shop for nothing more than a brief inspection and LOF.
