Had a finish nail hit a knot and curve around to get me once. That sucked enough, would had to do it with a framing nailer.

That is a bit of a stretch don't you think? The worst accident I ever had with a nail was in shop class when I hit one on the head with a hammer and instead of going deeper into the wood is shot across the room and nailed (pun intended) someone in the eye. My parents homeowners insurance policy covered the claim (I think) but I believe that the damage to the guys eye was for good. I do not know why that happened, the nail was already started into the board a good 1/4" and I did not do anything unusual when I hit it.

Are you saying that I should avoid saying something if it could cause me embarrassment? I did not harm the boy on purpose and was not doing anything that I was not supposed to be doing when it happened. I do not even know the persons name it happened to and did not even know that I was the one that hurt him until a few days later. When I heard him yelling from across the shop I thought that he had hit his thumb with a hammer and I was busy trying to figure out what was going on with the piece that I was working on. The delay between my hit on the nail and him beginning to yell caused some confusion on my part and a few days later when I heard that something had hit him in the eye I told my shop teacher that I thought that it had come from me.

I figured that some clarification was in order when telling a story like that.
