Yeah I built a few Walmarts out that way. One in Chino and I don't say anything about Dallas traffic anymore.

Daily commuting sucks, but that Southern California mess is pure evil. LA, Inland Empire, San Diego... everywhere you go. FUCK!

It's not just SoCal, we've been in stop-and-go traffic on I80 from Sac all the way to San Francisco more than once, and on the weekend no less.

Ours seems to be getting heavier daily. Used to be able to go to/from Dallas in an hour each way, just 2+ years ago. Now it's 1.5 hours minimum each way. Usually more like 1.75 hours close to 2.

I can usually get to south Dallas or West Dallas in 1.05-1.15. But a lot depends on the time you hit traffic.

Now I work in downtown FW and live off of West 7th. 1.5 miles and a consistent 6 minutes (when I'm actually in the office).

I have only been to Houston a couple times, but I did learn one thing. It doesn't mater what day of the week or time of day, traffic sucks in Houston. I have hit traffic at 2 am on a Tursday.

One of the biggest perks of my move to the mountains is the complete lack of traffic. Heck, the closest traffic light is an hour away.

Whenever we come back to Texas, it's a pretty big shock adjusting to traffic, parking lots, lines, merging, etc. It gets worse the closer we get to the metroplex, and by the time we are in Arlington, it's total chaos. It's just fucking gross and sad, to be honest. It's crazy how people just get so used to it.
