That was my first choice but I couldn't get a table at the right time. Capital Grille was rediculously packed. The bar was wall to wall people.

Thinking about going out to eat tonight with the s/o. She has been sick the past couple of days up to now. Normally I would say this was a bad idea, but it sounds like a lot of folks did the romantic night out over the weekend. Should I still expect a crowd on a Monday?

You can try, but you'd have better luck tomorrow night.

You can still find reservations for tonight. Get a rservation and get there 15 minutes early to make sure they don't screw it up, otherwise you are going to be screwed with all the crowds.

Maybe I'm kidding myself. I know V-day and New Years eve are the worse nights to go out, but the steak thread got me thinking. The wife and I are both working from home today and Bob's is only ten minutes from the casa. Plus, it sounds like most folks went over the weekend.

Sorry CJ. I didn't mean to be harsh. As a former waiter, I'm jaded. Valentine's Day is such a cluster fuck. Moreso than Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. Even when you do get a reservation, service sucks, etc. Due to the crowds and the waits, the restaurant is trying to rush you through dinner and it has that cattle call feel to it. I refuse to go out to dinner on this day for that very fact.

Sending you a pm now. I don't know if it will do any good, but it's worth a shot.

Del Frisco's in Dallas has openings. Most other steakhouses are before 6pm or after 830pm right now.

Opentable will make it super easy to find something.

Flew to Dallas from Abilene to visit her for the weekend and cooking a brisket right now for stuffed baked potatoes tonight. Stuff her a few more times then its first flight home in the morning. Also got her chocolate covered gummy bears(her favorite candy) cause she isn't into the whole box of chocolates thing.
Why put off till tomorrow what you can put off till the next day?
