  • Are we finally going to get a Diesel F150?

PowerNation TV is America's most watched automotive how-to programming. It is the most credible, highest-rated, longest-running tech content on television. The PowerNation consists of: Detroit Muscle, Engine Power, Truck Tech, Xtreme Off Road (XOR), PowerNation Daily, HorsePower, Muscle Item, Trucks!, and Xtreme 4x4

We have played this game before, wondering how it will compete with the ecoboost or if this is the next step of killing the V8.

Did Dodge ever do the diesel half ton? I thought that was coming out this year but I haven't heard or seen anything about them.

Being that a loaded super duty or f150 cost almost the same, I'd just get the bigger truck.

Yes. The RAM 1500 EcoDiesel hit the streets in 2014

I guess that depends on what the little 3.0 gets for mileage, some would rather tha comfort of a half ton without the 12mpg

One of my co-workers just got an eco diesel. He is getting low-mid 20's MPG consistently. So far it has been trouble free, though I don't think they have put a lot of miles on it yet, it is only a few months old.

Even Nissan has a diesel in a truck now. It is suppose to be between a half ton and 3/4 ton size though. Plus it is just about as expensive as a 3/4 ton diesel.

nice. wonder what kind of fuel economy they would get out it in the aluminum body. especially if dodge is claiming ~27-29 hwy with the 3.0 ecodiesel. guess we can expect 30 mpg highway from a 1/2 ton truck.

also, i thought it was weird they disguised the truck bed... it's not like the body is new/different. i doubt it would have attracted any attention if they left it normal. so clearly they want it to be known.

I test drove the dodge and it was unimpressive to say the least. Now the Nissan make significantly more power so I would be curious to drive one of those.

A friend of mine has the Dodge, and loves it. His is loaded, and very, very nice.

I saw the Nissan yesterday. Not a fan. I don't like Titans to begin with though.

Those Nissan trucks are fucking ugly.

When do the new 2017 super dutys drop? I want one of those.

My co-worker's is loaded as well, pretty nice inside, we took it from Forney to Prosper a few weeks back for work and it rode nice, the engine was VERY quiet, the only problem I had was that I was stuck riding the jump seat in the back and it SUCKED!

Is it possible to just get a basic truck anymore? No power windows/locks/steering, 4wd, floors that can be hosed down, manual trans, v8...etc?

You damn sure can't get them for the 15-16K that basic trucks used to run at after dealer/MFG discounts. I haven't seen anything south of $23K in a LONG time

Yeah - I just tried at ford.com V6, 4x4 lowest model possible was 31K on that site...

Wondering if removing these options is not an option or would cost more...etc these days. In my mind I want to buy an old truck, but my laziness says get new so not wrenching on it. Just weekend truck for projects, boat and trailer pulling.
