cactus??

so i suck at watering the bushes in the front yard thus they are 80% dead. i am considering going with cactus??? what other options do i have for thing that wont need watering 2-3 times a week? its just Jr and I and we are running around 7 days a week already. thanks!

go to rubials in farmers market downtown, they have all native plants and some good advice.

I had mesquite tree, palo verde tree and a ton of cactus on a drip system. Watered for 2 hours every 45 days. This was Arizona though...
