The only good experience I had was tuning from Dallas Mustang, but that was mainly because of the guy doing it (can't remember his name, but he was very helpful).
Otherwise, there are a couple of board members that I trusted fully with my car at the time for advice and/or putting hands on my car. One in particular did great stuff and is a personal friend. He made a mistake one time and went out of his way to make it right....I did not expect him to do so since he was only doing it on the side.
I never once got "hooked up" at any of the local shops or members who worked there. In fact, when price shopping it was mostly clear that they were ripping me off. Often times wrong parts were distributed or I was having to correct them - which obviously raised red flags when I'm not the one working there and they are supposed to be knowledgeable. One member in particular sticks out, but his name has been dragged through the mud enough already on here - so I'll just stay vague.
All these shops are still in business, but they won't ever receive mine.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

Example:
We've had a Jeep in our shop for over a week getting a lift, wheels, and tires. Nothing crazy. We've moved the Jeep in and out only each day. It came in with no check engine light and running fine. The customer came by yesterday to pick it up, we crank it, and it's got an engine light.
It's either an O2 sensor connection is loose, or the sensor is bad. Whichever, it happened on our watch and we're going to take care of him.
We can't make everyone happy though. It's typically when we're bending over backwards and pushing time limits to accommodate a client, that we have an issue.
And that is how you do business!

So I will never recommend late model performance and those two guys. I would actually discourage people from going there.
when I work on customers car I make sure stuff is 100% right. I just fixed a customers car 300 parts and labor that another shop told him 3000 to replace complete fuel system on a 95 GT when it just had a rotted tank and pump
