Yeah, it clogs up shops with PDR guys and actual real repairs dont get to make it through. After a hail storm was the only time Ive seen all the painters at a shop standing around waiting on cars to paint.

I push hail off to other shops and take in as much of the collision work as possible. Hail turns people into nut jobs.

My roof got beat up. Sorry that mike isn't with us, he did great roof work.

I always look forward to the parade of roofing dipshits who ignore my "no soliciting" sign.

I'm in Plano and got hit pretty hard. Lost our sky light in the living room and had to scramble to get stuff out of the way as rain and hail started coming in the house. Haven't looked at the roof yet but I'm sure it'll need to be replaced. It's 10+ years old and been through some minor hail storms in the past. The western facing side of the fence is probably torn up too. Guess I'll see when I get home.

Did a run around the neighborhood (Sachse), one part of the neighborhood looked like they barely got hit while another part had several houses with windows knocked out, holes in the roof, and generally effed up. The Walmart in Wylie will be closed for a while since they had over 30 skylights knocked out.

I have had guys running around all day just covering peoples skylights. Haven't seen this many broken skylights since the storm in 2003.

We had some very large hail at first, like 2-3" and then as it came through it got smaller and came down to pea size. I drove my wife's newer suburban down the street to a gas station that had gone out of business and tucked it under the awning that the pumps used to be under. So I made it out pretty well on her car.

Oddly enough, when I was coming back home I saw a coyote running around our neighborhood looking like he was confused. We live in South Plano and it is pretty well developed, we have tons of rabbits but I have never seen or heard a coyote in this area. He was wandering around stumbling looking confused like he had just had the shit beat out of him by a bunch of big ass hail stones.

We never seem to get hit when I take the time to squeeze both vehicles into the garage. Last night was no exception. It's a damn tight fit for that truck. I only have a half inch of clearance for the garage door.

Last week, my truck was in the driveway. Sure enough, it started to come down. I haven't moved that fast since air assault school. Fortunately my wife's Jeep was down in Lewisville at the time and I had plenty of room to rush my truck indoors just as the bigger stuff started coming down (quarter size).

                              East Plano check-in

Here's a cellphone video of the storm towards its end from my patio door. You can hear hail bouncing off the roof and rain gutters.

                              Damage?
My house faces West and the storms ran West to East. My roof looks good for only 2 yrs old. The vinyl siding on the front West side has damage and cracks in several places. My truck and car were fairly shielded in the driveway on the back East side. The truck got a cracked door mirror and a few hail spots on the top of each vehicle. I'm waiting on a battery charger for the digital camera to get photo evidence. Brad

Busted skylight on the house. Truck's roof, hood, and entire right side looks like a golf ball. I'm surprised the windows in my shop were not shattered. Already contacted blownaltered about the skylight and roof inspection; looking for a good body shop for the truck now.
