Wanna quit? Park the truck at the yard, offload your shit, turn in the keys, and that's it. They don't come after you for shit else. If you finish the lease, there's no balloon payment like everyone else, just give the owner/ceo $1, and he gives you the title, then you can either keep driving the truck with no lease payment, sell it and start a new lease in a new truck, keep it and go completely owner/op on your own or for someone else....sky's the limit. They also take $.01/mile from your check and put it in a "maintenance fund" that you use for anything maintenance related so you don't have to pay out of pocket for repairs and such. It caps off at $10,000, and as long as it is at $10,000 that $.01/mile goes into your pocket. It can go into the negative with zero penalty, and if you quit, whatever is in the fund they cut a check for and send it to you.

I have a pretty good understanding of how they work, just curious if they gave you guys any statistics before signing the lease.

The training academy kept neutral for the most part, just went over the very basic of basics with both sides. It was my trainer who informed me of how both worked, since he had done both, and for several companies.

Also, there's a 3 day "orientation" for either company or lease purchase, and if you're on the fence they will let you do both (before signing anything) to help you with your decision.

Why Leese a truck from a co to haul there freight. you pay for what ever is needed to keep it on the road by the time they nickle and dime you with maintenance funds, and other crap. Then they tell you where you can get work done tires p/m ect. most of the time there shop. You take a week off you come back the next week in the whole. All 1099 no benefits.b
