  • Best options for Insuring a 1998 Supra Turbo

Book on Supra Turbo's is a joke, like under half what they actually sell for. So insuring them with regular insurance seems like a bad idea.

What would be the best option for a car like this that I actually plan to daily? I would guess some type of agreed value policy but I don't know who the go-to companies are in that arena.

    Thanks for the help.

I have been meaning to try Phoenix Insurance, I have heard they are good with stated value policies. After my current round of mods on the Miata I am going to probably have it appraised or type of insurance changed to make sure it is covered.

Insure the hell out of it but keep it out of rush hour traffic. There are too many people behind the wheel where driving is #2 or #3 most important activity.

Don't know if it's old enough for classic, but collector insurance is going to have mileage restrictions. Given the nature of the car, I think your best option is a limited mileage stated value policy and get a beater for a daily.

                  These are still desirable?

They have done nothing but go up and up. Even the N/A versions bring decent money for what they are.

I have American Modern for an agreed value policy on my car.....no milage restrictions..They wanted a lot of pics(all 4 sides, inside trunk, 2-3 of the interior and a motor shot) and it has to be garaged kept..as long as you don't want a shit ton of money then you can just tell them what you want...If its more then what they think is reasonable then they will want a 3rd party appraisal

                        definitely need agreed value.

I have Hagerty collector insurance on the Shelby. Limited mileage, but super affordable.

                              Yep, "agreed" not "stated".
