  • What kinda tires you like? '13 GT

Time for new tires, I've had Michelin brand for years and years, time for something new. I don't need a Nitto, this is for driving to work and back, shit like that daily. May get some Continental DWS or something like that,
don't remember the name now. (Dry, Wet, Snow I think)

Anyways, what is your opinion on a good tire for these Stang's? Any reason not to look at the Continental?

I am somewhat limited on brands too, for the size I need (Boss 302 rims)
    255/40-19 front
    285/35-19 rear

Discount was around $1200 for the set.

I have nitto motivos on my GT and like them a lot. Road noise is minimal and traction is great in all types of weather.

I put bridgestone Potenza S04s on mine and they were just about perfect for daily use. About 10X the traction of the stock tires, quiet, good in the wet and fabulous on dry.

I had Nito's on my 01 GT, great tire, but as Denny said, too soft for daily driving. Currently I'm about 55 miles a day, but that may increase to close to 100 if I switch jobs.

I've never tried Bridgstones, ever. just like Hankook, don't like them, for no particular reason either...

Years ago I had some badass Firestones (SZ50s), and they wore out fast. Replaced them with Kumhos for around half the price and they were almost as good. Great for daily driving and better in the rain.

I had Continental DWS on my Audi when I had it and loved them. Whatever you get, get them from Tirerack to avoid the vigorous screwing.

They have a 60,000 mile tread warranty.

Crap, just checked, not available in my size...

This is the tire I was looking at, at Discount Tire by my house. Well, not physically looking at, they have to order them.

Damn, 19's are so expensive, but you can get some 24's for cheap?

X2 for the DWS. I have them on my Z06 and love them. Great all around tire with good traction and tread wear.

I'll have to look into the Conti's after my Michellins PS3's wear out

Those continental dws are damned fine tires.

Well, I can't rotate them but I will let you know when they are done.

I have not tried the Michelin PS3 but I have loved the PS2. Treadwear is probably low but dry and wet traction are great.
