would make a good argument for the use of drones instead of putting boots on the ground.

Looks like the shooter did live in some of those shitty apartments..
Man who killed Euless officer had been high on meth, family says
EULESS
The 22-year-old man who family members say killed a Euless police officer in a shootout Tuesday was a drug addict who had been jailed numerous times for assault and terroristic threats, according to court records.
Jorge Brian Gonzalez was high on “ice” — a street name for methamphetamine — and had been in the Euless Jail on Monday for allegedly stealing money from his father, according to his sister, 17-year-old Jennifer Gonzalez.
“I know that what my son did was bad, what he did. He killed a police officer,” said his father, Jorge Antonio Gonzalez.
But while remorseful about his actions, the family questioned why Gonzalez was released from jail Tuesday, the same day as the shootout that ultimately claimed his life and that of officer David Hofer.
“It’s their fault,” the father said. “Why would they let him out when he was on that stuff?”
His sister said her brother was in jail for 24 hours.
“That’s not enough time for you to recover from ice,” she said.
The father said Hofer and other officers had been to their apartment before, when family members called police to help them with their son. He said that Hofer knew their son and that he was sorry for the Hofer family’s loss.
Euless officials declined to say if Gonzalez was the shooter and would not comment on the family’s claim that he should not have been let out of jail.
A news conference was planned for Wednesday afternoon, said Betsy Deck, city spokeswoman.
‘Guess it was his time’
Jennifer Gonzalez said she was in school when she heard about the Tuesday afternoon gunfight at J.A. Carr Park, but she thought her brother was still incarcerated.
“My mind wasn’t, ‘Oh my brother did it,’ ” she said.
She had returned home to the family’s apartment, located about half a mile from the park, when she heard the news.
“I come home, a cop, a detective, I believe, and some guy from the SWAT came,” she said.
After firing on Hofer, Gonzalez was shot multiple times by police. He was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.
Hofer, 29, died in surgery at a Grapevine hospital.
Jennifer Gonzalez said even though her brother was a bad kid and annoying, he didn’t deserve to die.
“I guess it was just his time,” she said.
Jennifer Gonzalez said that her brother started doing drugs when he was 16 and that his continued drug use has caused him to be mentally unstable.
She said he owned a rifle but did not have any more details.
“I guess he had his rifle on him,” she said. “It was a really big gun. I guess he thought people were after him.”
The father said that he does not know where his son got the rifle and that he did not keep it at their apartment.
Lengthy criminal past
Tarrant County court records show Gonzalez has been in and out of jail since 2011 on more than a half-dozen convictions, mostly misdemeanor assaults.
▪ In July 2011, he was given deferred adjudication probation on a theft charge.
▪ In August 2011 he was arrested by Euless police for hitting a man with his hand while displaying a knife. Prosecutors later filed a motion to revoke his probation.
▪ He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon but pleaded guilty on Sept. 30, 2011, to the lesser charge of misdemeanor assault with bodily injury. He was sentenced to 90 days for the assault and theft.
▪ In September 2014, Gonzalez was charged with assault causing bodily injury. Details of the charge were not available, but records show that he was sentenced to 70 days in jail on the misdemeanor.
▪ In March 2015, Gonzalez was arrested on accusations that he struck a family member with a board or club. He was convicted in July and sentenced to 45 days in jail.
▪ In June, Gonzalez was charged with terroristic threat of family/household. He was convicted the next month and sentenced to 45 days in jail.
▪ In August, he was again charged with terroristic threat of family/household, and in November he was charged with theft from a person for allegedly stealing a man’s cellphone.
▪ In January, he was sentenced to 60 days in jail in the theft case, a state jail felony, and to 90 days in jail for the misdemeanor terroristic threat charge.

Though someone gets caught with a joint/ounce of weed and there serve 10 years in jail, this is the bullshit I'm talking about...Originally posted by SilverbackLook all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.
