I am surprised this doesn't happen more, though shooting coworkers who had nothing to do with it makes no sense. I would expect people to be pissed at the authorities or individuals involved, cps, judges ex, etc but that seems to be rarely the case. Neither scenario solves the problem but how it usually plays out does make the least sense to me.

If that is the goal you can do that without anyone else getting shot so I don't buy it in this case. People who want suicide by cop pull guns at traffic stops or other places, dont shot them usually, and refuse cops orders to drop it, then alot of times point it at the officer. You dont need to shoot people for suicide by cop to be successful. Of course the cop still has to deal with shooting someone which can mess you up emotionally.
