Anyone ever wonder what we will have to do once all the cemeteries get full?? I was driving passed one the other day and noticed it was almost full and with all the new developments going on everywhere how will they deal with all the deaths in the future??

I always assumed people will start getting buried on top of other people

      Mausoleums, underground crypts, and cremation.

Cremation is taking over that business. The business anticipates it will be 100% cremation in the next 30 years.

At least, that's what the owner of a funeral home told me.

China has already banned burial as a means of putting your loved ones at rest. There are a few exceptions and extenuating circumstances, but it's cremation, for the most part.

I hope my funeral goes as well as this one.

They find another plot of land to use as cemeteries.

They could do like some other 3rd world places and bury a body for a few years, exhume and inter the next occupant.

Burying bodies, especially in huge impermeable boxes, is just silly to me. If you want to place a small plaque in a solemn place, go for it, otherwise I don't really care what you do with my body once I'm dead.. I certainly don't want my family to blow a bunch of cash on that nonsense.

This, it makes no sense to me... Burn me and dump me somewhere cool.

Especially since those boxes become a sieve over time. Ridiculous there are some caskets with "a 50 year guarantee..." It's all a sham.

Depends on how it's deeded. A lot of lots are setup basically as 100yr rentals once your plot fills after a 100yrs you're cleared out. Some bury deeper and stack. Others start filling in the gaps between headstones now.

greatness! This is what I did with my dad this past summer. I spread his ashes all over his favorite ski slope in Breckenridge
