Man, if that isn't a trick to try to make the Republicans look bad, I don't know what is. Sandoval does seem like a good candidate, and is qualified. So, if the Republicans say "No to anyone!", the Dems are going to say "Look how we reached across the aisle and got our hand slapped away! Boo hoooooo!"

Or he is a progressive like chief roberts and would give power to the left while appearing to be conservative. Wolf in sheep's clothing, if you will. Either of those two scenarios is equally likely.
