I liked my 5.0 but being as it was lifted and had a short bed it did not meet my needs. Plus I have no need for a crew.
I tow a loaded 18' Challenger car hauler pretty frequently, and it handles it as good as some of my older 3/4 ton trucks did. I also have a 22' enclosed Haulmark that it tows 4-5 times per year, and it still does fine on power and stability (load-leveler hitch), but MPG goes all the way to hell with that one.

Yeah I know, welcome to my ADHD. I was in a hurry as I was headed out to ride and thought maybe I should tweak it. Nahhhhh

      Break down.

I like the concept of Eco but I want super reliable like I have heard the 5.0 was. If this year is a first year of a new engine I am not sure I would be to enthusiastic about that either. I really was not impressed with the 5.0 but I think the lift and tires slanted my opinion a little. Plus the short bed I didn't think would be a problem until after I tried using it for dirt bikes and four wheelers. Also they sell a lot of them as crew cabs but really I have no need and do not want another 30 ft truck.

Also eyeballing the F250 6.2 as diesels scare me these days. However if the Eco will do the job reliably and get better gas mileage I am not apposed to another F150 just not lifted as I need it to haul stuff around.

Cooter just posted about pullouts for $5k in another thread.
