Darden is the parent company. They own Olive Garden, and The Capital Grille.
Ah gotcha. I knew they were a chain, just never knew if they were a private chain or not. My old boss was the first to take me there several years ago...I've been to the Dallas location a couple times, several times to the Fort Worth location, and once in Austin. Always a really good experience.

Crab fried rice is amazing. They have outstanding steaks as well.
I'm extremely picky on steak and was pleasantly surprised by Eddie V's in Austin. Usually when I go to a "high end" steak house it isn't even close to what I can make at home.
Silver Fox is mediocre on a good day and Old Hickory is fucking terrible.
Perry's does have the best pork chop in Texas, but that's a Friday lunch meal ($14 instead of $29), and Who the fuck orders a pork chop at a steak house if you didn't specifically go there for the pork chop lunch deal?

I had an extremely mediocre experience at Bob's, but it was the FW location in the Omni, so maybe that's why.
Del Frisco's and Grace are my go-to great steak destinations.
Grapevine is the only location worth going to. Omnicorp bought Bob's when he was facing jail time, but they do not own Grapevine or Plano locations, as both of those were built by franchisees prior to the purchase. Plano is not on the same level as Grapevine, either. Grapevine is the only one that holds true to the original Bob's experience in every way.

Isn't Perry's a steakhouse?... and they have the best pork chop in Texas?.... and you say people shouldn't go to a steakhouse for a pork chop?

I go to Perry's specifically for the pork chop lunch deal on Fridays. I didn't just stumble upon a great pork chop at a steak house. I've been several times now, but even the first time, I knew that I was going there for no reason other than to order the pork chop lunch deal.

I read it just fine. So only eat a pork chop at a steakhouse if it's half price?
