Best place I know is the boiling crab in garland but the wait can be excessive and it's not the in best area of town. Next two options for me are Fish Shack and Shell Shack, both in Plano. I like the flavors offered at Shell Shack better but I think their prices are a little higher than Fish Shack. I went to Shell Shack a couple weeks ago and the crawfish were $8.99/pound. Maybe that's just the market price right now but seemed high to me.

It's a drive but this place should have them http://www.mardigrasseafood.com/
It happens to be a well thought out and reasoned dissertation on drug use and a lyrical cost/benefit analysis of various kinds of drugs, drawing the conclusion that beer is the best of them all.

I haven't tried Nates yet this season. So far, Shuck n Jives in addison is the best I've had and they cook them with the season in the boil.

Also, heard a all you can eat is happening this weekend at Mother Truckers. Got the FB feed below.

Cinnamon Rhae Malmgren eating crawfish with Briana Andrews and 9 others at Mother Truckers.

Nate's is still the best cooked around here IMO.

If you want to cook your own most of the Fiesta's have them and they are starting to get good sized. $2.29 a lb. loose or $1.99 for a full bag. They usually receive shipments on Thursdays.

I'm going home to Louisiana this weekend to hang with my family. My brother in law said live mudbugs were under $3 a lb.

I also bought a new cooker. I'm done with $8 a lb or more. There are a couple of places in north DFW that sell them live for a somewhat decent price.

Starting next Friday the Men's Club will be doing their Friday crayfish boil again. They have 900lbs delivered fresh from the swamps in Louisiana at about 10:30am and start cooking them around 3pm. 20 dollars at the door gets you all that you can eat.
