So we love Texas Roadhouse, but would like to try something new. Another place that has great quality beef that is decently priced in the same general area, within 5-10 miles of Keller.
I do not care for texas roadhouse personally, but salt grass, land and cattle are two really good mid-high level steakhouses. I dont care all that much for steak, but salt grass is my favorite. They do a great job
There is a new steak house called Logan's. Not sure of all there locations, its pretty much just like roadhouse. If you like roadhouse you'd prob like Logan's.

Logan's has been around for at least 15 years or so. And Logan's food sucks in comparison, fwiw. There used to be one every 5 square miles it seems, now, there are very few left. I think they had to file bankruptcy or something.
Kirby's is in a MUCH higher price range (aka double plus) than Texas Roadhouse. Longhorn Steakhouse is in that price range, but they don't have one anywhere near DFW yet.
Your best options are TL&C, Saltgrass, and Outback, as others have mentioned.

But, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.
Thanks for the info on Tx Roadhouse... We got a gift card for the place and the only one I know of close is in Mesquite, so I didnt know if it was worth it.

Guess I thought it was new cause a new one opened in Rockwall. I don't much care for roadhouse so i think my comparison was pretty good considering they both suck.

I'd much rather have Saltgrass than Texas Roadhouse, Texas Land and Cattle, Logans, or Outback. Not a big fan of any of those, really. Pony up and go to Bobs. You won't regret it.
I've noticed that some places with the same franchise name are better than others. I can't speak for all of them, but the Saltgrass in Plano off the tollway is decent.
ive never had a bad meal at texas roadhouse or logans. i have at salt grass and outback. my experience with salt grass( and ive tried them several times) has been far sub par

I first had Texas Roadhouse in South Carolina, and that gave me such a horrible impression I decided I would never do Texas Roadhouse again. I ordered a medium rare ribeye, and what I got was a well done used to be a ribeye that sat under a heat lamp all day. When I was back in Texas, Saltgrass always had a good ribeye for a good price, and Texas Land and Cattle was never disappointing. Not saying that all Texas Roadhouses suck, I know some people that swear up and down its their favorite bang for the buck steakhouse. Ive just given a few outside of Texas a try and decided id rather not go with something that has let me down before; especially when it comes to a $20 steak.
