Looks like I have a candidate for a new signature line.
Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

I agree with SVO 100 percent. I was just commenting on those that accepted homo's but say trans folks are mentally ill. Really? It's a little late to draw a line don't you think? The train has left the station. Pandora's box has been opened. The monkey doesn't go back in the bottle....

You accepted one and crucified those that didn't. Now all deviant sexual behavior will push for acceptance using the same path. If you oppose it you'll be labeled as a homophobe.

This has all happened before and it didn't end well. People's naivety is astounding.
I guess I'm just confused because someone's "sexual deviance" has absolutely no effect on my life or how I live. I'm not sure why you're so up in arms about it.

Wait, we're ok with bulldyke lesbos that have been police for decades still, right?

And he's no doubt ok with lipstick lesbians as he's beating his dick like a rented mule while watching porn. But you gotta draw a line somewhere, I guess.

Yep. Tough girls being tough is not anything that worries me. A tranny as a sworn officer is another matter entirely.

I don't have anything against transgender people, but a fucking child doesn't know who or what the fuck they are yet. I think his parents are fucking idiots and I feel so bad for the poor kid.
I probably shouldn't be allowed on the jury that is suppossed to convict him of whatever it is he is going to do to his parents when he gets older.

The defense attorneys would love to have you. Prosecution, not so much. At least, that's my take on it.

To be clear, they say they've always known. And maybe they have. I don't think they are trying to force their child to be transgender. But I also think any reasonable, responsible parent would show support and sympathy but tell them it is far too early to make this decision before the child figures out anything about themselves.

Your take is correct. It's a strange thing knowing that emotion and not logic makes that ruling for me, and I'm somehow okay with that.

I agree completely with your edit.

My life? Nope. It doesn't effect you until you get a "sir" or "ma'am" incorrect and offend a sodomite, becoming the subject of a witch hunt. I'm not up in arms over their choices, just more perplexed by normal peoples' acceptance and then surprise and objection to the absurdity that is to follow. It's naive.

How do you draw the line on permissible sexual behavior, or gender identification now that we have deviated from the norm? You will eventually contradict yourself.

It isn't my job to draw the line. Again, someone's sexual preference and what they do in their bedroom is no concern of mine, and has no effect on me and mine. I find that I'm much more happy when I don't concern myself with the actions of others.

That's not what was posted in this thread.... you've already concerned yourself with your friends' parenting and Arlington's acceptance of this cop. There's you contradiction.

Also, the term "sexual preference" is no longer accepted by the LGBT folks because implies choice. They will tell you that their lifestyle is NOT a choice but something they "were born with", so you must say "sexual orientation".

Just a heads up. And no I don't agree, it is a lifestyle choice, nothing more.

preference or orientation. i do not care. it is not my place to impede you while on your path, so please return the favor. play on player.

no one is "normal" anymore, so a transgender cop or a ex army cop is still a gamble when i get pulled over in my eyes.

parents that let kids make indefinite decisions such as hormone therapy because he or she wants to be a she or he are no concern of mine, but i do not agree with it.

it seems the normal identifiers are to be slowly going away. you cannot even call it a melting pot any more. we are past that.
