It makes no sense. I made over $250k last year and I still feel that I should be getting a bigger piece of the pie for my efforts, talents and experience. just because I feel the system is broken doesn't mean I am blind to lazy employees or satiation of position by some. Betterment shouldn't mean we have to give up our lives for companies. I've worked from home everyday for the last two years and have got to see my daughter grow up and be there for her while I work whatever hours I want. That is what we should be striving for as employers and what employees should be demanding as well as giving the money where it's due. Athletes hire agents I feel I should do the same at this point.
We should be striving at ruling the world in income equality. I love this country and this state but feel we could do better to share the wealth. when we solve for the wants and needs of everyone, we will progress as a species. Hope I get to see that.I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.

I'd just like to point out that abecx gets paid very well, in case anyone's missed that.Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

If people believe in sharing the wealth then they should start sharing their own. Actually we here in the US are far above most parts of the world when it comes to income. Technically speaking, if you follow the logic fully, then even our welfare recipients should be mailing checks to the poor folks in Africa.
Good luck with that ever happening though. What you will find is that it is always the other guy or the government who should be sharing. Very rarely will someone actually be in favor of handing out money and actually hand out their own money. They'll be more than happy to hand our their neighbor's money, of course. Or insist that the government take their neighbor's money and hand it out under threat of imprisonment. That is the problem with socialism and communism, it is always the other guy who should take the hit. If you believe in it, then pass it out, there is nothing stopping you from doing that. Even if you insist on government being involved, the Treasury takes donations, just write them a check, why do you need a law to do that?Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

I don't know if there should be a line or if even there is a line where it gets stupid but something has gone wrong over the years. I do get that even our poor people have it better than a lot of other countries but that still does not correct the problem.
The system for the most part did not need to be bailed out and many who were bailed out we're not given a choice about playing ball with the Feds.it was take the money or else.Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

The treasury also made money on the bank bailouts. It was paid back with interest. Now this is just the CEO not her minions. Where do you think GM gets it's money? Maybe car sales? So some of the new trucks cost half a house. Did we not save this company? I don't care if they paid it back with interest, it should have failed and took a bunch of other shit with it just like the banks should have done.
Now run this across the board with banks, car manufacturers, and other large corps we bailed out. It is a racket. Just like the guy that doesn't lose the bank 300 million this year and gets a nice 30 million dollar bonus. I am not talking about a individual that goes out and makes millions of dollars. Good for that guy the skys the limit.Whos your Daddy?

Wells Fargo, arguably the best bank in the country, had no junk mortgages. Their CEO made them get out of that business years before the shit hit the fan. Yet they had to take the money just like everyone else did. There were many mid sized banks in the same boat from what I remember. The Feds made them take the money so that no bank would appear stronger than the others.
The treasury also made money on the bank bailouts. It was paid back with interest. If you want to howl about someone getting a crooked ass bailout, then look at GM.Whos your Daddy?
