Fuck that. All that we need is the political will to gut whom ever is threatening us and everyone that they have ever loved.
Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

Just a little FYI for you; I am not in the habit of providing a citation for anything unless I am turning in a paper that requires doing it. I am not in the habit of claiming others work as my own either so it has never been an issue before. I will start doing so in the future if I am cutting and pasting anything.

Attacking a government entity or employee is just a normal act of war; nothing more and nothing less. It became terrorism in name when we did not agree with what was done and can not bring ourselves to admit that we are in the middle of a war even if we feel comforted by denying it and will not go on the offensive to win it. You can not remedy a problem if you will not even admit that there is one. Once you weak kneed wimps realize that the only solution is total war and all that comes with it we are just wasting our time debating how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.

Soldiers being killed or injured in a war is not work place violence and I have never even come close to saying that it is or was.
So 9/11 or OKC causing mass panic and terror was not terrorism. Terrorism does exist. I agree with you that a terrorist to one may be another's hero, but it does exist.
I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.

Tim McVeigh was not charged with terrorism. Why do you think that he wasn't charged with it? Could it be that the term is so vague that it could mean anything?

1 party will lose a lot of votes if the subject of islamic terrorism is brought up as it should be, and addressed with meaningful action. We can all see why the democrats are avoiding addressing the real issue.
Sorry Ruff, I am legitimately trying to understand the thought process of some board members comments. Not looking for a gotcha moment. I honestly want to understand the thought process of both sides of the issue.
My view is guns are going to be here forever, no matter how much people fear they will be taken away. I also have a hard time seeing how the President is going to just magically wave a wand and stop the violence from Islamic extremist in this country. I am not an Obama supporter, if anyone is making that assumption. I don't think any President will have the magic answer to either issue.

Which is why I said what I said to SS Junk. He knows what connotation is inferred when referring to Democrats. Don't be silly. This is an adult forum I have been on for a long time and have observed enough to know many, maybe even most, see the Democratic party as a poor mans party with poor man thinking.

Oh, and being offended is not a right.
Being offended is a basic feeling any human can have on any particular subject, so I don't understand your comment.

Ignorance. I lived around and worked in the DC area for many years. Every one of my co-workers were liberal/democrat, regardless of their race and income level all parroted the same bullshit you initially did in how a problem is obvious and we should just refrain from calling a spade a spade.

There's no reason to mention how offended you are. You, by yourself, composed this elaborate scheme in thinking what I said was somehow tied to poor and black even when I told you it wasn't you choose not to believe that and are now worked up over it. That's completely on you.

I should be offended by this offense of being called a liar which then means I am being labeled a racist!

Seriously though, the is the same mentality I had to deal with from a former co-worker I had known for over 13 years when the Martin/Zimmerman thing happened. After the verdict I told him even though we disagreed with the case I'd hope we could still be friends. His response:

I don't know if we can.

This Trayvon Martin case has taken more out of me then I anticipated. The fact that the kid is being demonized when we now know he wasn't a menace or casing the area; he was just trying to get home when all this started just wears me out.

And the idea that the problem isn't what happened to him, isn't what the
Sanford police did or didn't do, but why we aren't paying less attention to this and more attention to a white victim of murder (I'm too worn out to argue the specifics again) just screams either white life is more important than black life or black people can have their civil rights when every black person in America follows a proper code of conduct and style of dress.

If you can't see that, I'm going to need you to leave me alone.
                          mstng86,

Because I did not agree with his agenda, he would be too butt hurt to remain the good friends we were. I have no tolerance for such smug, self-righteous, self-entitled bullshit.
