Sounds like an Urban Dictionary term.

This is specific for pyramidal or cerebellar lesions...not as common as cerebral strokes. So if they have no pronator drift does not mean that they are not having a stroke.

I was brushing my teeth one morning before work and the next thing I knew I was holding onto the vanity with the worst headache I've ever had and feeling very sick to my stomach. I was about 47 at the time. I don't smoke and wasn't too overweight but I drank a lot and didn't eat particularly well back then.

The left (logical) side of my brain was flooded with blood leaving the arsty-fartsy right side in charge. The right side decided to just sit back and observe, and it was quite a few hours before I worked up enough sense to call for help. The big clue was when I tried to say something to someone on the phone and Klingon came out. The right side could not associate my symptoms with a need to get help.

Luckily after a 3 day stay in the hospital I came out of it with very few symptoms.

        Catheters suck
You know, I wonder if I had a tiny stroke about a year ago. The wife and I were going at it really good and out of the blue I had this massive headache that wouldn't stop. I of course tried to power through it but eventually conceded and passed out in the bed. I felt fine an hour or so later.

Don't be googling stuff trying to sound smart!

That's why there is more than one item on the stroke scale I mentioned.

LoL...you have me confused with Tim.

I was just clarifying the exam finding you listed.

yeah, strokes are serious business. The whole scenario is pretty terrifying.

The worst is what MikeB described, just being helpless and unable to recognize the situation.

Thanks Keith, me too. As far as strokes go, this was pretty minor. I have a little numbness remaining in my left hand, but other than that feel pretty good. Good opportunity to re-prioritize and make some changes.

Pretty sure it involves chili on spaghetti, just not sure where in the consumption-digestion chain...

Sean, since you're in the area, and I could have died Tuesday... it's time you came over for that whiskey, see the project and check out the new barn.

Yeah, solid point man. I'm less than 10 away. I'll give you a few to recover, but hit me up.

                          Whiskey? Did someone mention whiskey?

                          Holla playa.
