A home-cooked meal, a few texts from friends that aren't close by, and a card. That's it, and I'm happy.

But for 4k you are def in the range of building your own that will surpass the 24x24 model in both size and capability.
Man im torn on the size. I like the 24x24 but most of my stuff fits 12x12 so i dont want to pay for capacity i will only use once a year (and can always get a day pass to techshop for).

I wish the 12x12 had prismatic guides on all axis.

For the price, the axiom 12x12 will still be the best in its class. Talking to some third party sellers, they say it will easily hit tolerances in the .001-.003 range.

Same here. The kids get any and all gifts, however Christmas booty twice yesterday was always a good gift idea.

Got some impact sockets, work gloves, watch case and some art for my office. Dad also gave me a few of my granddad's old watches and some of his. Nothing too crazy.

Apparently in Construction, booze is the #1 gift.

                      750 ml Knob Creek
                      A handle of Tito's
20 oz yeti cup powdercoated with our electric subcontractor's logo
                      30 oz yeti cup

That is about it. The wife and I didn't buy for each other. We got married Nov. 14th and found out within 24 hours of the wedding that we are having a baby, that was gift enough.

Best gift I got was a .25 toy football helmet that my six year old got me from the school store. He ran it over to me so excited for me to open it. Just the look on his face while he watched and as I started to open it he said "I hope you like it daddy". I could have pulled a wrapped dog turd out of the bag and it wouldn't have been any less excellent!

I got a new Makita drill, some Chipotle gift cards and a wall mounted thread finder for the garage. It was pretty awesome. I ordered myself a complete Holley HP EFI setup to celebrate.
