You ever do it? Ever just get so fed up with someone that it comes up in conversation to your manager in the course of conversation?
Back at Siemens I was always a team lead and in charge of something or another and if someone didn't pull their weight, I ran them off.
Out here at my job myself and another guy are the on board technicians for the crane on the vessel. Without this crane, it's just a work boat. With it, it is a money making machine and it is worth it to my client and the client's client to have us on here round the clock. Me for a month, him for a month.
I'm the new guy, he's the 6 year guy. I hear so much negative shit while I am out here, from the crew, about him, it's unbelievable. I blow it off as hearsay and do not bad rap him.
Now it's time for crew change and I'm getting dicked around because he's got some issue or another and trying to make it blah blah blah... but if this boat leaves tomorrow with me on it, I am going to blow a fucking gasket.
As it stands I have already spoken to my boss today about the hearsay, and about the crew change, etc.
Bottom line, you do your job out here, and you make crew change.
So anyway, my boss got a little insight as to what goes on when he's here and is going to do a little talking with the client.
Anything I said to her, I will say to his face if I need to. I try like hell not to burn field guys that I may have to work with again, but fuck. I've heard enough. This can't go on.
