We have our very own Naynay. All he needs to do is drink more and become a dookie logistics black belt.

Not much can lure me away from where I'm at, but give me a call when that guy gets fired!

93LXHORSE: Dude... you're in deep shit. You were supposed to come in on Saturday. What were you doing?

Peter Gibbons: 93HorseyGuy... I did nothing. I did absolutely nothing, and it was everything that I thought it could be.

This reminds me of that guy that got himself signed up for all the safety SDS shit because he made the mistake of being a doer to make the others look good.

OP...be careful with your battles. Make sure you know who will truly go to bat for you when it comes time. 6 years is a lot of loyalty to beat. And this industry is much smaller than you think.

Meanwhile, I have studied, learned, and fixed a whole bunch of problems on this crane, and have earned the respect of the entire crew on this boat.
I edited out your post to focus on two things.

He's been there for a good minute.
Be careful how you approach things. He just might have been a clutch player in some high ranking contracts.

Keep up the good work. Keep gaining respect, but humble yourself.
Your knowledge will keep you as a key player, just don't forget that you'll need to be a team player while you build tenure.

Nothing worse than hearing how smart, gifted, talented, and better suited you are than "person", only to be followed with, "He was here before you, and he'll be here after you."

Until they beg you back in hopes they can become profitable again.

It is just as bad when the guy is brand new and they can't get rid of him because then someone up the food chain has to admit they made a mistake in hiring them.

That particular bruise is too fresh.

I need to let it continue healing as I fully grasp the newfound knowledge.
