          I witnessed a hit and run in Houston when I lived there. I followed the driver and informed 911 operator of my pursuit and that his bumper and headlights were hanging off the truck from the impact.

          The operator asked me if anyone was injured and I said I'm not sure as I had followed the truck since there was people getting out of the van that was hit and other cars that stayed back to assist.

          The operator told me they wouldn't send anyone to me to pull over the truck because I couldn't confirm that anyone was hurt.

          Just ranting because I really have no faith in police officers to do anything. That scene in full metal jacket "You're the reason why there is theft in the world" has always stuck with me and is how I live my life. The only police I have ever seen give a shit is Mesquite.
