Turns out her boyfriends wallet was in the car and the people set up an Amazon account and went out to eat with his CCs.. They had Lojack on the car, which they contacted and told them to search for the car
This was 2 days ago.. They filed a police report number(got Case #, Police officers name, and badge number) and called in and told the police about the CC and the restaurant name and stuff. The police said they would send out a detective to view the security footage and do what detectives do..
This morning they received a call from Lojack saying they located the vehicle. So they called the police and turns out that the police officer never filed the report, didn't report the car stolen, didn't activate Lojack on their end (which i guess they are supposed to do), and never sent out the detective to the restaurant.
Anything they can do to? They spoke to a Sergeant and he said that he would handle it and get back with them but wondering if there was anything else.
That sux.

You can try to justify it all you want, it's an open, public campus. Society needs to nut up and not be offended by stupid shit anymore. You did notice that it was off the news faster than you could say tripod when it came out that there wasnt anyone doing anything?
