996s are the bastard child of the 911 family. 964s and 993s (his is a 964) are collectible and are really holding their value. The final air cooled turbo cars with low miles can easily sell for double what a turbo 996 does.

996s aren't desired and the early blocks among other things are notorious for problems. Who wants a timebomb that may go off to the tune of 20k???

Dfwstangers are so narrowminded, I mean granted, it's no 89 hatch on draglites with an unpainted cowl hood, but it's still a great car

I would be more than happy with this old car and it's a roughed up track-whore.

I would drive the piss out of something like this. Love that old Porsche burnt oil scent you get on you after raping one of these cars.

if it makes you feel any better, I never said anything about being douchy for driving a porsche, just douchy for wanting a vanity plate. And BTW, get rid of that wing, mounted on a wing thing that that track car has going on, and id pimp the shit outta it.

I know it's just typical dfwmustangs stuff. I'm just real excited about getting this car and thought I'd put a custom plate on it. I'm thinking mark p on the plate. I don't know though

Don't put your abbreviated name on the plate when you can put the whole thing across the back window.

Save your coin and get a Turbo. You will never, ever sell it (or regret it).

I would loooooooove to have a 993 Turbo.

No shit. If it isnt a Dually with stacks or a foxbody with draglites, its garbage. lol Bunch of haters who don't know what a real car is. Porsche = There is no substitute.

I think it has more to do with it being an $18,000 1991 Porsche (probably Targa or high mileage Carrera)
It will not be anything like what is listed above.

Same thing as buying a Ferrari Mondial or a 308. You're getting the name and none of what made it good.

Eh I disagree. I like those older Porsches. Sure its not brand new and not a turbo, but its still a nice piece of metal IMO, and the guy aint bragging about it or anything claiming to be something its not.
