Fuck no. That's a low risk gamble with a marginal gain in the long run.

Its because of student loans I would imagine. I bet no other generation had the majority of its youth starting life with $40k+ in debt.

Over half of millennials have less than $1,000 in savings. And yet, my 8th grade daughter tells me she is the only one in her class that doesn't have a new iphone. How do all of these broke dicks afford new shit?

This is a complex problem. Jobs have little upward mobility because people are retiring later and having a bachelor's degree no long makes someone stand out. Millenials see little reason to branch out and excel due to limited opportunity. Lets also not forget the declining value of a dollar and the perceived and actual pay disparity between entry to mid level jobs versus upper levels of management. It's becoming a can't win so why bother trying scenario.

I'd have a hard time sleeping at night without a rainy day fund.

Me too. We have a good emergency fund, 401k, no debt but the house, don't live paycheck to paycheck and I still stress over money.
I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.

Which to me is stupid. Don't borrow money for stuff you cant afford. Get a job, work your way through school. Novel concept. These whiny bitches want their debt forgiven because they "were preyed on" and now they cant get a job with that Cultural studies degree.
