  • Over half of millennials have less than $1,000 in savings

Can't say that I'm shocked, but damn this is eye-opening.

Study finds that 52% of millennials have less than $1,000 in savings, while 62% of American overall have less than $1,000:

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

how much should one have in savings versus their age?

cause a millennials would be roughly 25-35? how much time have they had to start saving if they are paying off college debts or establishing themselves in life?

That's about how it's been for the past 5-10 years right?

I'm somewhat surprised, but at the same time I'm not. Just think, if they aren't saving any money for unexpected "real time" expenses, what are they saving for retirement? I'll bet it starts with a Z and rhymes with 'hero'

I graduated in 99, and no, I don't believe that is us. We are about 5-8 years older than them I would say.

I think it is anyone born after 1990 but I am not sure. Still, $1,000 isn't a big cushion considering how much shit costs anymore.
I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.
