BH Factory did a good job with my 2014 GT. They are in blue mound right off Blue mound rd and 820.

Manny @ HPP is great with that type of setup. I have had a couple of tunes done by Gearheads and in the past and they were ok but Manny's tunes are more street friendly. Also, I won't let GH touch my car after the last bit of work done there left me stranded on the side of the road with a brand new transmission and drive shaft that were destroyed because they didn't put a clip on a u-joint bearing cap.

I had a tune on my 4V done by SimpleQuick in Benbrook. That was a decent tune but it took a long time to get completed and cleaned up properly. Once set though, it was very safe and very streetable as well.

Gave SimpleQuick a call. Nice guy but he said that he's so busy it'd be over a month before he could get to my car and he referred me to Travis.

I guess it's just the way it goes, but it seems like no shop is perfect, and there's always going to be someone that feels ripped off or screwed over.

I've never had a problem at HPP, Lonestar or even DMP (back in the day). Manny has always done me right and I've been doing business with him since they were in Denton. Brian at Lonestar, hes worked on my car and I've bought many a parts from him. Slim has also been a stand up guy, he doesn't tune, but hes very honest and up front.

I will say this about Travis at GHP, he helped my 80 yr. old FIL's who was broke down in a hospital parking lot during one of the hottest months of the year and wouldn't take money, only wanted money for the parts. That alone goes along way in my book.

Though like Chili sez, not everyone is going to be happy, you're always going to have a few that are not and those are the ones you hear about, but they probably have hundreds of customers that are happy...

Sometimes customers just have different expectations about what they're getting for X amount of money versus what the shop thinks they need to deliver for X amount. Always be up front and communicate openly. Even if it's just for a tune, lol. Every shop, every tuner has some dissatisfied customers.

Yeah. The thing that inspired confidence when talking to Travis was that he took his time talking with me and explained a holistic approach starting with checking things like fuel filter, plugs and sensors and going from there. I appreciated that he didn't just want to throw it on the dyno and get it out the door. It pains me to throw this much money at it, but if it gets the car where it needs to be it'll be worth it. I'll be reporting back my experience next week.

Right now, check engine light. The cause is either the throttle body or the tune. But, it's a 10 year old car, so it could be a few small things contributing to the symptoms. When it's running right(ish), it idles a little high and has a high RPM stumble.

It's got an edelbrock e-force supercharger, but is otherwise stock aside from cat back.

Why don't you see what codes it's throwing and go from there?

                              he did.

In his last thread it threw a code for the o2 sensors being turned off or something to that affect.

                              Hence this thread, I believe.

Yeah, I did. Codes pointed to the throttle body, IAC maybe. Apparently there is a sensor in the stock intake runners that's eliminated in this supercharger install that could be the culprit as well (this is worked out through the tune). In fact, there's a decent chance that all of these problems are tune related. For whatever reason, the programmer didn't come with the car, so it's a little bit of a guessing game.

I think the plan from here is get it diagnosed, fixed if in fact there are any parts that need replacing (maybe, maybe not) and get an SCT tuner and get it on the dyno.
