Grow your audience with OOH car advertising! With Wrapify, you can advertise on cars driving for Uber, Lyft, Doordash, Grubhub, Postmates and more.

Have any of you ever looked into this?

Basically, you register with them, then let them track your vehicle movements for a couple of weeks. That lets them know your driving habits for your daily commute and other movements. Then they match you with an advertiser that will pay to have your car wrapped in their advertising for a period of time.

After your car is wrapped, you get paid $$$$ on a per mile basis. My daily commute is 58 miles round trip. According to Wrapify's calculator, if I had my truck fully wrapped in advertising, I could get paid a little under $400 a week. That's more than enough to cover a car payment, gas, and insurance.

So what are y'alls thoughts on this? With the extra expenses I have for my son's autism treatments, this seems like a decent way to get some extra cash with minimal extra effort.

my last gig was an outside sales/marketing/logistics position, and we drove 50-60k annually. One of the guys found a similar deal, they paid for the wrap, and gave a quarterly reimbursement for miles driven. They only required a daily miles driven log on the vehicle. The owner of the company shot it down, even though we provided our own truck, he didnt want to have one of his reps advertising whatever non-affiliated product to our customer base. I understood, but didnt like that I couldnt get that fat check every quarter.

I think it was makemycarpayment.com or something like that was around 10+ years ago and similar. I never personally met anyone who did it.

I couldn't see doing it because there are times I drive like an aggressive asshole.

You are correct. I looked into that back then but there are some big differences.

MMCP wanted you to park your car at certain places during the week. They wanted you to make sure your car was visible most of the day. They didn't like it if you parked in a parking tower.

Wrapify is app driven and tracks your movement through an iPhone (they don't have an android app yet). They pay you for the size of the ad on your vehicle and the miles you drive every day. I think they have a mileage cap so there is a maximum you can make. The thing is that you have to agree to be tracked by gps..

You used to see this stuff everywhere around 8-10 years ago and not so much anymore. Just a guess but either company's weren't paying or owners found it not worth it?

Affording it isn't the problem. Someone says if I come home with a truck before I come home with a ring, she's moving back to FL.

Which reminds me, I better start looking for some movers...

When I upgrade, I'm going back with a Dodge. I like my current Ram too much. I don't need a new truck, this one just has the options I want (4x4, leather). It's a 2014 Laramie Longorn 4x4 with 30 miles on it, and is almost $20,000 under MSRP.

                          dang it....

FAQ's says must be a 2008 or newer. And, earnings are based on miles driven in certain "zones".
