Is there a way to get a copy of a DD214 in an expedited manner?

I have an older client that needs a copy of his but cannot find it anywhere. I looked online and found the government site but it said it can take up to 90 days to receive it. Is there an expedited way to receive one that you know of?

Yep. One of the reasons I filed the original with the county clerk, and got several certified copies. I have several, in different places.

I hear it takes sometimes as long as 4-5 months... Scan copies and keep them in many places, as Chili says.

If he goes to the ebenefits site and is signed up (you get the premium membership for free at teh VA where they can verify who you are) and you can print out your 214 at home.

Call the VA office in Waco and use the ebenefits webpage. You can get things done very quickly contacting the regional office and being polite and patient or using the web. I can download almost all of my stuff on the ebenefits webpage nowadays.
