When I say stop in this context , I don't mean travel. I mean end , stop , over.

If your neighbor is being assaulted in their home next door you're concerned. If a guy wearing a black hood just kicked the window in your daughter's bedroom, you're considerably more concerned.

You have to prioritize. First, being as Muslims are an extremely small minority in this country, now is the time to establish policies and methods for separating out the radicals from peace loving flag waving Americans. That can happen concurrently while a plan is made to take care of ISIS.

ISIS formed from a power vacuum left in Syria and Iraq from Barack Obama "bringing our troops home." Sure, the left will argue the only reason they were was because Bush started all these wars. The vast majority of ISIS originated from Syria. Obama kicked the flaming shit back on the porch that was Assad. By attempting to free all muslims from a terrible dictator, he essentially armed, aided, and emboldened radical elements inside Syria which were preoccupied with Assad. Do you remember Assad's government stating the rebels were radical Al Qaida? All the democrats laughed, proclaiming it was a desperate tactic by the Assad regime to the garner support of the American people. The power vacuum caused by the US leaving Iraq and not establishing a solid government and education system (Remember 1980 Afghanistan? - we created Bin Laden this exact way) these radical elements changed their ambitions. Instead of trying to overthrow Assad, they simply took over Iraq. Once they secured oil reserves, they started taking over other countries. In just a few years after Obama's victory in Syria and Libya, they have secured financing from oil fields and other means to start launching their Jihad on foreign soil.

The fundamental answer to stop radical Islam is education. The vast majority of the middle east is very young, and very uneducated. Traveling Imams spread false history and propaganda, masked as religion, to young unsuspecting youths (such as Surah Dukhan chapter 44, verse 54 of the Quran - you know, the 72 virgins part). These young kids get plane tickets, and come to America. This also works the other way. Young American muslim youth's down on their luck, or experiencing hardship are enticed by images of pious powerful holy warriors. These same Imams influence them to commit domestic terror. It's all the same thing.

Holy shit. Another good reply without calling me names , or insulting my intelligence. Thank you. Not that you asked , but I'm ALL for securing our interests here. ALL for it. Its just some of the methods getting kicked around are to me , are a bit extreme. You don't think our "war" in Iraq started this whole mess , or at least added a bit of tinder for what would become the fire?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

If you haven't noticed I habitually add more shit to my posts, there's some more thoughts expressed since you replied. No need for name calling in discussion (but I do at times get pissed and sling shit).

The war in Iraq was a mistake, however, it was unavoidable. Saddam had a proven track record of deceit, manipulation, and war mongering. He absolutely could not be trusted. All intel pointed to him being up to his own tricks (and that resolution to go to war with Iraq absolutely wouldn't have had a chance unless the democrats also voted for it). It's very popular for Democrats to act as if they had nothing to do with it, but at the time, it was the American people, and our government in solidarity that voted that war in, and it was sound decision with the evidence in hand. We tried to resolve it with inspectors (which he kicked out), and there was no other option left.

What REALLY caused this mess was not learning from 1980 Afghanistan. After we armed, emboldened, trained, and financed (sound familiar?) the Mujaheddin and allowed them to defeat the Russians, we abandoned them. We left no education or government infrastructure, and created a massive power vaccuum. Osama Bin Laden was a CIA informant for the United States, coming from a wealthy family, and having many connections, he was very useful.

Bandar bin Sultan: This is ironic. In the mid-'80s, if you remember, we and the United - Saudi Arabia and the United States were supporting the Mujahideen to liberate Afghanistan from the Soviets. He [Osama bin Laden] came to thank me for my efforts to bring the Americans, our friends, to help us against the atheists, he said the communists. Isn't it ironic?

Larry King: How ironic. In other words, he came to thank you for helping bring America to help him.

                                Bandar bin Sultan: Right.

However, when we left and created the power vacuum, it severely hurt the people of Afghanistan. Osama Bin Laden saw us as the "great devil" and declared holy war on us.

We did exactly the same thing again in Iraq. However, the long term plan for Iraq was adjusted and relatively sound from the Bush Administration. Obama attempted to appease the left by "bringing home our troops" from "a war started by George Bush." He essentially traded our country's safety for votes, that is basically what happened. It was careless and completely and utterly reckless. Now the chickens have come home to roost for Barack Obama.
