As I have mentioned over and over, I no longer have an FFL. An FFL is not affected by ones refusal to pay traffic citations and the longest stretch of jail time that I ever did was before I got an FFL. I also never made a claim as to having spent the most time in jail; I merely mentioned that I had been to jail on many occasions.

Here is a bit of trivia for you. What is the oddest thing I ever went to jail for? Improper disposal of a dead animal.

Oddly enough I once got picked up for a traffic warrant while returning a library book and had to get the officer to help me carry about 30 NIB long guns that were in my car into the PD. I knew the officer and he was cracking up and so was I.

I'm sitting here trying to figure out a way to join this conversation , but am finding it hard to do. Why does the race , religion , etc. , of the victims/perpetrators matter? I get its a label to distinguish the physical/theological characteristics of the persons involved , but why the polarizing effect? It is a terrible thing that people in power , i.e. , the media and the government , are allowed to capitalize on our ignorance as a society. The facts are , people celebrating at a party , were murdered by one person that knew most of those people , and his wife. The reason they did it doesn't matter. Who they were , and whatever deity they follow doesn't matter. The police needed physical descriptions of what they looked like , and what type of vehicle they were in. that's all. The media IMMEDIATELY began to speculate on race , motivation , types of weapons (tactical versus non-tactical , not that there is really a difference ) and immediately we ate it up. Sides are chosen , and the bullshit starts. There needs to be a major change in the United States government. It isn't going to come with banter on social media or on little websites like this. Its going to come in the form of a radical change in the thinking of people who see past all this religious , economic , chest-beating crap we have all come to embrace. Let me be completely transparent , I'm an atheist. The teachings of Mohammed (sp) and Jesus are the same to me...Not real. However , working , living , being friends with people of different religious beliefs IS REAL. I have the right to live my life and enjoy my life just as much as all the members of this website REGARDLESS of my belief , or , lack thereof. Banning guns IS NOT going to stop this type of bullshit. Education , transparency , and discussion of what religion really is will. Anyway , I'll probably get flamed for this but I was just trying to add a different voice in all this. Also , I like how you guys fuck with Nay Nay so much but he shrugs it off. Oh , I'm white and 41 so please don't think I'm black too. I don't want to be ignored by everybody.

From all the post in this thread the speculation went from three white guys killing folks....To two radicalized , muslim terrorists with semi-automatic rifles and bombs. They killed people. The rest of the information doesn't matter. Its NOT going to stop people from doing it again , and again ,and again. The real information should be , they believed in a fairy tale that is no more relevant or true than christianity. But that will never be talked about. Even talking about the reason in the media polarizes everybody. Gun control , tactical this , work place violence that. It doesn't matter until the root of the problem is exposed.

Actually, it will. Once you find the common denominator and terminate it, the threat stops. This is why, with any incident, we investigate. Finding contributing factors and the root cause(s). This is also why history books are a valuable resource.

Well , if that is the case , why are people still selling drugs , committing domestic violence , robbing people? I'm pretty sure there are millions upon millions of pages of interviews , and statements on why it was done. But it doesn't stop millions of people from doing the same behavior. Crime is a punishable offense as provided by law. Law should punish the law breaker with no consideration of ethnicity , religious belief , socioeconomic circumstance. But , we all know , that's NOT the case.

In THIS case or crime in general? They were killed , and threat neutralized. Their motive will not bring any of the dead back...EVER. It will however cause MORE people to hate muslims and people that may be of middle eastern descent. If a person did the same and were determined to be a christian , like the recent planned parenthood attack , then christianity is in question. They all commited a crime. Christians will side with what the planned parenthood dude did , and muslims will side with what they did. It will NOT stop future crimes that will be EXACTLY like these. And we will eat it up and call for either tougher gun laws , since the ones we have no work so well (lol). Stricter enforcement of muslim immigrants and refugees , since that has worked so well (lol). More spying by the NSA......see where I'm going. It doesn't matter in the end. I'm not talking about the reactive (punishment phase) of the incident. I'm talking about what really gets results. Taking proactive measures to terminate any future threat. You're not making parallel comparisons with those domestic crimes, just like the silly religious comparison you posted earlier.
