Wow
Shannon Johnson shielded Denise Peraza during the San Bernardino shooting. Peraza was wounded; Johnson died.
"I got you."
Those are the words Shannon Johnson told Denise Peraza as he shielded her with his body during Wednesday's massacre at a county health department holiday party.
Johnson was one of 14 people who died at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California. Peraza was one of 21 others who were wounded.Interested in being a VIP member and donating to the site? Click here http://dfwmustangs.net/forums/payments.php

Hiroshima and Nagasaki took the Bushido right out of the Japanese.
An absolutely crushing defeat is what it takes. I think it doesn't exist much further back than a hundred years because it takes industrialized warfare to affect whole populations in a short time. Before that it took decades to change ideas and even then I think it was done more through integration of two cultures. Rome being overrun by barbarians, for example. The barbarians didn't hate Rome, they just wanted to be Romans.

Japan is the perfect example of a proper "exit strategy."
We reap the benefits of that investment to this very day. The Japanese is also a good parallel to the middle east. They were a very isolated and racist society."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

On a related note, you keep bringing up the crusades. You do realize that they were basically a disaster for the Christians, right? The first crusade was mildly successful, the other two were the Christians getting their asses kicked all over Syria and Palestine.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.
