An absolutely crushing defeat is what it takes. I think it doesn't exist much further back than a hundred years because it takes industrialized warfare to affect whole populations in a short time. Before that it took decades to change ideas and even then I think it was done more through integration of two cultures. Rome being overrun by barbarians, for example. The barbarians didn't hate Rome, they just wanted to be Romans.

I'm not sure where I advocated doing anything in the Middle East, one way or the other.

Japan is the perfect example of a proper "exit strategy."

We reap the benefits of that investment to this very day. The Japanese is also a good parallel to the middle east. They were a very isolated and racist society.

Even through your passive aggressive attitude , I can tell that me talking about christians is something you don't like. I get it man. I actually am more concerned with what a christian can do to me than a muslim. I've never met a muslim that told me I was going to hell because I didn't believe in their sky fairy.
